Designed for grades 3-8 to use simple materials to better understand the world around them thru experimentation. Students will get limited raw materials and be asked to complete a task such as build a bridge and compete against other groups for titles such as the strongest bridge. These will be termed Junk Box Wars and will comprise 50% of the classes. Specific lessons on principles of engineering such as experimental design, velocity, and measurement will compromise the other 50%.
