About the Course

This class aims to take students on a journey in which they adopt healthier lifestyles by utilizing simple skills and tools that inform better choices. The curriculum is focused on three main pillars of health: nutrition, fitness, and mental resilience.


Students learn:

  • how to read nutritional labels, understand the deleterious effects of overconsumption of sugar, recognize appropriate serving portions, and identify macronutrients needed by their bodies to function well.

  • the importance of physical activity and identify different types of exercise as well as how to include them in their daily lives

  • how to manage stress and feelings and to help a student reposition life challenges as opportunities for growth.

Three ring binder, paper, Colored Pencils
