About the Course
This class aims to take students on a journey in which they adopt healthier lifestyles by utilizing simple skills and tools that inform better choices. The curriculum is focused on three main pillars of health: nutrition, fitness, and mental resilience.
Students learn:
how to read nutritional labels, understand the deleterious effects of overconsumption of sugar, recognize appropriate serving portions, and identify macronutrients needed by their bodies to function well.
the importance of physical activity and identify different types of exercise as well as how to include them in their daily lives
how to manage stress and feelings and to help a student reposition life challenges as opportunities for growth.
