Course Description:
Embark on a year-long scientific adventure with Science Explorers, a hands-on, high-energy class designed to spark curiosity and foster a love of discovery. Each week introduces a new theme and experiment as students explore physical, life, and earth sciences through exciting, real-world investigations.
Students will rotate through engaging units such as:
Kitchen Chemistry – Test acids, bases, and edible reactions
Earth & Beyond – Build volcanoes, simulate earthquakes, and study space
Forces & Motion – Engineer rockets, catapults, and egg-drop designs
CSI Forensics – Lift fingerprints, decode clues, and solve mock crimes
Electricity & Energy – Construct circuits, solar ovens, and wind-powered devices
Microworlds – Zoom in on pond life, salt crystals, and textile fibers
Grossology – Dive into digestion, germs, and weird body systems
Science of the Impossible – Explore real science behind sci-fi ideas

The course concludes with a Science Showcase, where students share favorite experiments or original inventions with friends and family.
