About the Event
Title and Topic: The Prelude to World War II and the Rise of the Three Dictators.
Synopsis of Sample Lesson:
The period in the immediate aftermath of World War I was a time unlike any other in
European and even world history. Those that survived the brutality of the trenches came back
permanently maimed both physically and mentally disillusioned. It was in this climate along with
the provisions in the Treaty of Versailles, that led nation’s economies to collapse in the interwar
years. This in turn led to the rise of the three totalitarian dictators and regimes and ultimately
World War II. These of course were, Fascist Italy and Benito Mussolini, Joseph Stalin and Soviet
Russia, and Adolf Hitler and Nazi Germany.
