Hi, I'm Jennifer! I've been homeschooling for more than 23 years and am the mom of four amazing children. Every one of our homeschool journeys has looked a little different, and that's one of the things I love most about homeschooling - it allows each child to learn in the way and at the pace that's right for them.

Our oldest struggled with a visual learning disability and didn't begin reading until he was 12 years old. Today, he's a physicist working in missile defense. That experience taught me never to underestimate what a child can accomplish when they're given time, encouragement, and the freedom to learn differently. His story taught me that children do not all learn on the same timeline and that progress cannot always be measured by what is considered “normal.”

That belief has shaped the way I approach education and community. I created Alabama STEAM Academy and Alabama Homeschool Connection to help families find encouragement, meaningful opportunities, reliable information, and genuine connection.

I love creating events and activities for the commnunity and helping families and teens come together and connect.

Homeschooling can feel overwhelming at times, but it was never meant to be done alone.
