The Full Story

Spring break kicks off at Alabama STEAM Academy with a high-energy night designed exclusively for 9th–12th grade teens.

It’s a teen-driven night of music, movement, and space to hang out before break begins.

Lights up. Mocktails flowing. Game room open.

You control the playlist. We turn it up.

Our main space transforms into a full dance floor with immersive uplighting and strong sound, while the separate game room stays open for those who want to compete, chill, or take a break from the music.

There’s no DJ. Instead, teens help shape the night through our digital jukebox system. Song requests are monitored to keep the playlist appropriate, but the energy stays in their hands.

We’ll have a mocktail Slushie bar and a shareable snack table. Each guest will bring a shareable finger-food appetizer or dessert. If you prefer not to bring food, you may choose to contribute toward pizza during registration.

Space is intentionally capped to keep the atmosphere energized but manageable.

From the first beat, it’s electric.

Event Participation & Liability Agreement

By registering for Spring Breakout: Unscripted at Alabama STEAM Academy, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

I understand that this event includes music, dancing, games, and food in a supervised indoor setting. I recognize that participation in physical activities carries a risk of minor injury, including slips, falls, or accidental contact with others.

I voluntarily assume responsibility for my teen’s participation and release Alabama STEAM Academy, its owners, volunteers, and staff from liability for ordinary accidents or injuries that may occur during the event.

I understand that this is not a nut-free or allergy-free environment. I am responsible for informing my teen of any food allergies or medical conditions and ensuring they make appropriate choices.

In the event of an emergency, I authorize event staff to seek medical care for my teen if I cannot be reached.

I understand that respectful behavior is expected. Alabama STEAM Academy reserves the right to dismiss any participant for unsafe or disruptive conduct without refund.

I grant permission for photos or video taken during the event to be used for promotional purposes unless I notify the academy in writing prior to the event.

By completing registration, I acknowledge that I have read and agree to this participation agreement.
