Alabama STEAM Academy

Welcome to Cullman STEAM Academy, a non-denominational Christian cooperative school that promotes education through hands-on learning. We offer a variety of classes, lab activities, field trips, and social opportunities. We meet at the Steam Academy in Cullman, Alabama, every Wednesday.

We believe homeschooling is a journey that is better when shared.

We are Christians and share a Judeo-Christian worldview. We DO NOT  require a statement of faith or a letter from your pastor.  We DO NOT require a chapel class.  We DO NOT favor any particular denomination.   We do unto others as we would have done unto us and believe that the parent better teaches spiritual matters at home.

We teach science from a scientific perspective and offer well-rounded, educationally sound classes. Welcome any who practice mutual respect.

Our cooperative school is a team effort and depends on the input and collaboration of all families. As home educators, we must create opportunities for our children; thus, we are stronger when we combine to trade skills and enrich our individual homeschools. We Are a Parent led Coop and Encourage Parent Involvement. Member families volunteer in various ways, such as teaching classes, organizing field trips, or social activities.

Alabama STEAM Academy 2024-2025 registration is April 6th for current families and April 7th for new families.

We usually do a production each semester on a real stage.  Drama is a semester long commitment that involves teamwork and requires follow through,   Why study drama?  It promotes team building skills as well as public speaking. It fosters creativity and its just plain fun.
