Senior-Year Checklist: What Should Be Happening Right Now?
A practical month-by-month checklist to help Class of 2027 homeschool families organize academics, next steps, graduation plans, records, and the moments worth celebrating.
Senior year can feel a little different for homeschool parents. There may not be a school office sending reminders, a guidance counselor handing your student a checklist, or a registrar telling you when something is due.
That doesn’t mean you need to recreate a traditional school system at home. It simply means that, as the administrator of your homeschool, there are a few things you’ll want to keep track of as your student moves toward graduation.
Use this checklist as a starting point. Not every item will apply to every student, and that’s perfectly fine. A student heading to college may have very different senior-year priorities from one entering the workforce, military, an apprenticeship, the arts, or starting a business.
Check off what applies to your student, skip what doesn’t, and come back throughout the year as plans take shape.
